This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering next generation combat vehicles for the U.SArmyWorking as a DCS employee in Littleton, Massachusetts, you will manage projects, perform systems engineering tasks, and support the U.SArmy Ground Vehicle System Center's next generation of autonomous vehiclesEssential Job Functions:
Functions include but not limited to:
Working with Army robotics and autonomous systems for ground vehicles code development; preparing documentation and providing test support for the military robotics GUI and safety rated controllersProvide embedded software development project leadership following CMMI standard software processesCreate software development and verification plansInterface with internal and external customersLead systems integration and testing including vehicle integration supportLead software release and configuration managementSupport safety qualification processes (MIL-STD-882E and DO178) Characterize and measure system performanceDevelopment and programming of user interfaceCoordinate and oversee engineering processes throughout product development life cyclePlan tasks and schedulesAbility to work and coordinate with multidisciplined engineering development team in project developmentRequired Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.SCitizenship is requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a secret clearanceBS degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience with ground vehiclesProgramming in C++Understanding of the engineering lifecycle and system level design and the ability to develop system level requirements and design artifactsExperience in developing software on a variety of platforms, Windows, Linux, RTOS, FreeRTOSExperience developing system and subsystem level requirements and designs for hardware and software implementationsExperience working with COTS equipment:
computers, network switches, radio communications, power supplies, wire harnesses, and other equipmentBasic Project Management or technical project leadership experienceEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenProficient with use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint)Able to travel occasionally to domestic destinations in support of the program; potential for international travelDesired Skills:
Experience working with Army ground vehicle equipment:
computers, network switches, radio communications, power supplies, wire harnesses, and other equipmentExperience in the systems engineering, development and operation of Ground Vehicle SystemsExperience with ruggedized COTS and military grade equipmentExperience performing Systems Engineering throughout product development life cycleProficient with DOORS or other requirements management toolsExperience with software using communication transport protocols such as UDP/TCPExperience with J1939 CAN bus hardware and software interfacingExperience with Vectorcast or similar software verification toolExperience with Labview programming a plusExperience with version control tools Git, SVN or similarExperience developing safety critical software for ground vehicles per DO-178 and Mil-Std-882EExperience with Qt and QWidget GUI software development or similar tools.
