Underwrites new payment client relationships for the full range of the bank's payments business lines.
Analyzes the client background including financial statements, merchant history, credit history to determine the financial, operational and compliance risk presented by the relationship.
Provides stakeholders with assessment and action plan based on analysis.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Underwrite, both low and high risk payments customers (merchants); provide internal stakeholders with guidance and/or action plan based on underwriting analysis.
Assess highly-complex payment customer relationships (partners), including ISO's, Payment Facilitators, Third Party Payment Processors, ISV's, and Card Issuing Sponsorship relationships Analyze client financial statements, business history, merchant statements, credit background and additional due diligence (MATCH, LexisNexis, PCI-DSS Certifications) to determine the risk profile of the client.
Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) on merchants, partners, and the bank's customer's customer Assist management in audits and regulatory compliance requirements as well as reporting, as needed Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or other analytical discipline 2-5 years' experience in payments underwriting preferred Basic understanding of various payment methods, including credit card, ACH, RDC, and real-time payments Ability to interpret KYC/CIP due diligence documentation, including LexisNexis, MATCH Knowledge of business financial statements and tax returns, and the ability to evaluate credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective customers Knowledge of payment brand (Visa/MasterCard/NACHA) rules and non-compliance programs Previous experience in community banking and financial technology is a plus Professional certifications in payments/financial such as APRP, AAP, CFA, CPP is a plus Proven aptitude and desire to learn new, concepts and systems Ability to make clear, well-reasoned decisions based on multiple data points and risk factors Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and payment brand risk monitoring tools is a plus Avidia Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMember FDIC/DIFPM21PI227208641 Recommended Skills Accounting Auditing Communication Customer Relationship Management Economy Finance Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
