A Day in the Life
Leads software development and release activities, including design, test definition, documentation, build management, configuration control, and regulatory
Work with software architecture and software development colleagues to storyboard and develop libraries, source code, compiled binary code and GUI software elements
Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Report/resolves software bugs/issues in addition to field-originated troubleshooting; in accordance with Medtronic Littleton Software Development processes
Participates in cross-site and/or cross-functional projects that benefit multiple sites
Participates in cross-product development efforts
Participate in multiple project team meetings
Provides guidance to lower-level software engineers as required
Assist in customer service, support, and installations. Participates in training Customer Service, Production, Marketing & Sales
Maintain projects and documentation according to ISO and GMP guidelines, while following the Medtronic Navigation Littleton Software Development process
Participate in society meetings, focus groups, and User Site Testing (UST) activities to support prototype development and refinement of prototypes into finished commercial products
All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System
Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations
All other duties as assigned
Travel requirement: 10-20%
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent)
7+ years of experience with a Bachelors Degree
5+ years of experience with a Masters Degree
Programming Skills in C, C++ and/or C#
Experience in developing software for Microsoft Windows Platforms
Experience in troubleshooting/debugging commercial products.
10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's
8+ years of experience with a Master's
3+ years of experience with a Doctorate
Strong Debugging Skills
Trained in proper code crafting and design (i.e. Object-oriented design)
13+ years of experience in software development
Experience with medical x-ray imaging
Experience in motion and/or robotics design and programing
Experience in embedded software development
Experience with OpenGL, image processing algorithms, and communication protocols (RS232, TCP-IP, USB)
Self-motivated person that can work individually and lead team projects along with a strong desire to learn new concepts and adapts quickly
Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications
Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop well-structured architectures

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
