The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining software for various Image Stream Medical products with a focus on Image Stream Medical's Surgical Integration system. This job involves the software development of a unique and innovative Windows and Cloud based applications and services for integrated operating rooms and their associated systems. Job Duties: As a Senior Software Engineer working on the Image Stream Medical R&D team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by helping to design and build world class, cutting edge software used for patient care in hospitals worldwide. This is a hands on position. You will roll up your sleeves and participate in the agile process by gathering requirements, prototyping concepts, designing software solutions, writing specifications, helping with testing efforts, and at times helping to support field issues with software products within your domain of expertise. In a typical day, you will:  Design and development of services, applications and user interfaces with considerations for as well as system infrastructure, and development framework.  Design and development of various services to enable the flow of information between proprietary (RS-232, Web Services, and WCF) and standardized (HL7, DICOM) communication interfaces.  Design & development of cloud-based applications for IoT device management and telemetry Development & threat modelling based on STRIDE Unit testing to resolve integration issues prior to verification and validation.  Write software and/or system design specifications.  Analyze data from engineering perspective to provide performance information.  Interpret results to recommend course of action.  Work closely with test engineering to transition software and resolve issues during verification testing.  Support of service and field related issues as well as some limited travel to address field issues. Perform all other duties as assigned.   Job Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is required, or equivalent knowledge and experience. Minimum of 10 years software development experience.  Development on Windows systems to include W10 IoT (embedded), and the latest Windows Servers Object oriented programming skills and demonstrated proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core & WCF & Win32 & XML & JSON. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience using Visual Studio 2015 (or 2017) as a development environment. Experience developing device communication and control software over RS232, IP and other control interfaces.  Enterprise communications experience with WCF & REST Services. Experience interfacing IoT devices to the Cloud (Azure preferred). Experience with a software control system, i.e. Visual Studio Online is a plus.  Ability to work with an existing team, system and software infrastructure as well as the development of new applications.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well with test engineering to transition software & identify and resolve field problems during integration testing.  Understanding of FDA 21 CFR 820.30 (design controls). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
