Research Software Engineer

Job Description DCS Corporation is looking for an emerging subject matter expert with an embedded software engineering background for wearable technology.  A background in a technology research setting and experience developing control software is highly desired. The ideal candidate is a self-driven innovative individual that thrives in small teams and performance based work environments.  Experience developing embedded applications with PIC, Atmel, or  ESP32 microcontrollers is required.  Location is the MetroWest Boston area (I-495/Rte-2). Essential Job Functions: The Research Software Engineer will be responsible for developing code for wearable electronics technology and mobile communication applications supporting key accounts across the USG, as well as developing and designing new technology applications in line with DCS Systems Engineering Department.  Required Skills:  Must have an active DoD Secret clearance. BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering or electrical & computer engineering paired with 5-6 years of relevant experience. MS with 3-4 years related experience.  Proficient in Python, C / C++. Experience with developing embedded applications with PIC, Atmel,  ESP32 microcontrollers. Experience with bus protocols such as CAN, SPI, RS232, I2C, USB, & Ethernet. Desired Skills:  Experience working with one or more of the following: Experience with developing on Linux platforms, including small board computers like the Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone. Experience with various Python based data analysis and database tools, PySQLite, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib. Familiarity with sensor development (environmental, physiological) Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical concepts. Experience in working in small, cross functional teams and environments. Power electronics, RF design, experience a plus. Familiarity with sensor development (environmental, physiological). Wearable technology development experience. CompTIA Security+ Certification. 235

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
